Culinary Schools
I have researched culinary schools which offer either online courses or distance learning. I am constantly on the lookout as I 'surf' and if anybody knows of a culinary college that I have not got listed, please let me know. If any of you have any experience of these culinary schools - likewise - get in touch and give your experiences - I will give a free copy of my

as a thank you for contributions. Careers4U Once you arrive at this site, from the blue side menu, select 'culinary' then at the bottom of the next very long page, there are two online colleges. The Art Institute Online offers Culinary Management and Thomson Education Direct offers Catering and Gourmet Cooking. Fill in both forms and get the prospectus from each college to compare course and prices.
ICS Learn ICS Learn offer Catering and Gourmet Cooking as a course. They are UK based, but I belive that anybody can sign up here. Included in the Culinary Course are two textbooks 'Theory of Catering' and 'Professional Chef' also they send 6 catering videos. There is online support and if you register online, you qualify for a discount.
Oxford Distance Learning These offer a Diet and Nutrition course which would be very useful in a catering career. They also - and forgive me here, for wandering 'off topic' but I am so tempted myself to have a go - offer a Herbal Medicine Course and a Flower Remedies Course - I really have enough to do and shouldn't, but... I have applied to two other companies to be able to post their details of culinary schools here, but haven't heard back from them yet - I'll update as soon as I hear.
